The repeater used to be sited on Lowther Hill. It became operational on 23rd April 2009 and went off air Summer of 2025.
It was intended to provide mobile coverage of the M74 from Glasgow to the Scottish Borders and beyond. It also provided coverage from fixed stations well outside this area.

The repeater was based on a Nokia BSR150 RF Platform with G1SLE Logic.

This was a Narrow deviation system (2.5KHz Deviation Max)
